DOES THIS PICTURE MAKE ME LOOK FAT?
Perhaps this isn’t what you had in mind when I said naked. Naked as in raw, bone-cracking writing. Naked as in, if you ask me to, I’ll probably spill my guts. No, I will spill my guts every time, but I’m a huge fan of metaphor, so you just might need that x-ray machine.
What is probably visible on the surface is this: I am a total Valley Girl on the outside fer sure– and I’m more than thrilled with the resurgence of “Oh M’Gawd!” (I love the whole acronym twist too with the OMG, thanks for that.)
On the inside, besides the usual bones, organs and blood, there’s a brain that has also studied Addiction and Recovery Counseling and Psychology. You can skip down a bit here if you want, because I’m going to brag: I’ve also been a multiple Pushcart nominee, and Best of the Net nominee, (but then again, who hasn’t?) I am the author of the chapbooks TEN (Dancing Girl Press, 2014) and Waspfish, a semi-finalist for the Glass Lyre Press 2016 Kithara Prize. (Glass Lyre Press, 2016)
When I’m not writing, drawing, or repainting something, I’m usually obsessing over Austria or Amsterdam, aliens or angels, or my Dutch vs German language apps, although Spanish really should be my concentration.
That’s about it. Coffee is my sustenance, cigarettes, my vice. Alright. I quit smoking, but I still like the way that sounds. Honestly, it was the last vice I had left.
